Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like canoeing or kayaking are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cub Scouts enjoy.
With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cub Scouts are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities. Learning important first aid skills, paddling a canoe for the first time, or leading a game at camp will open the door for Cubs to try other adventures they never thought possible.
Along the way, Cub Scouts learn how to take care of themselves and work as a team – and most importantly have a lot of fun!
Be prepared.
I promise to do my best,
To love and serve God,
To do my duty to the Queen;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub pack,
And to do a good turn for somebody every day.
Additional promise option (more information here)
I promise to do my best,
To be true to myself,
To do my duty to my country;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub Pack,
And to do a good turn for somebody every day.
The Cub respects the Old Wolf,
The Cub respects himself / herself.
The Cubs section holds regular meetings at Rio Terrace Church (15108 76 Ave NW) or the park next door.
Although we try to be outside as much as possible, thanks to the amazing generosity of the Rio Terrace Church, we have use of the building if we need an indoor area.
The Cubs uniform is comprised of a shirt and neckerchief ("necker" for short) with a woggle to hold the necker together at the front. The necker, woggle, and uniform badges are supplied by the group, but the shirt is the responsibility of the Cub.
We often do group bulk purchases that save on shipping, so please enquire with the Scouter team before ordering.
